Before Nova Lights existed, the founder found themselves living in a dark rental apartment with no good lighting — and no way to improve it. Every option to fix it meant hiring an electrician, drilling into walls, or installing fixtures that weren’t even allowed in a rental.
After searching everywhere for a simple, stylish, renter-friendly solution — and finding nothing — they decided to create it themselves.
One late night at the kitchen table, a few ideas turned into product sketches. That spark became Nova Lights — a brand built to make beautiful lighting accessible to everyone, without the tools, cost, or stress.
Today, Nova Lights is in over 20,000 homes (and counting!), helping people create the atmosphere they’ve always wanted — with lights that are simple to install, easy to love, and designed to move with you wherever life takes you.
